View the delivery status of each message you send. Delivery Status Reporting is visible for both Broadcast Campaigns and Transactional Messages.
Note: Delivery Status and SMTP logs are kept for 15 days.
Delivery Status
There are 5 statuses: Pending, Delivered, Deferred, Undelivered, and Expired:
- Pending means that the message has not yet been sent or the log is not yet available.
- Delivered means that the message was successfully accepted by the receiving server. This does not indicate successful Inbox delivery, only that the server accepted the email.
- Deferred means that we have attempted to send the email, but for one reason or another we are not able to deliver it at this time. We will retry up to 5 times before marking the message as undelivered.
- Undelivered means that we were not able to successfully deliver the email to the server. This could be due to a bounce, block, or even too many deferrals.
- Expired means that we no longer have the delivery status for this email. We only keep the delivery statuses (and SMTP logs) for 15 days.
How to View Statuses:
Broadcast Campaigns
- Navigate to Reports.
- Click on Open Report Dashboard.
- Click on the Recipient count for the message you wish to view.
- Scroll through your Recipients to view Status:
Transactional Messages
- Navigate to Reports.
- Click on Open Transactional Dashboard.
- Scroll through your transactions to view Status:
